The Launchpad app requires an HTTPS (TCP/443) connection to launchpad.groundctl.com. We use WebSockets, which travels through most — but not all — firewalls. In addition, the Launchpad may download resources from Amazon S3, and Apple’s CDN. These are always over HTTPS.
